Photo contest: Nunavut performing arts

Northern Public Affairs is teaming with Qaggiavut! to design the back cover our of first issue. We’re looking for visual, written, or other works to feature that highlight the performing arts in Nunavut. The best part–there is a $150 prize!
 
The deadline to enter is tomorrow, May 15 at 5 pm EDT.

[blockquote]You are invited to submit material that has to do with Nunavut performing arts. The winner will be chosen by Qaggiavuut! board and staff and will be given $150. It could be a photograph of a Nunavut performance, or the process of creating Nunavut performance. It could be poetry, graphic design, drawings or any medium that best expresses for Nunavut performing arts for you. You do not have to be a Nunavut performer to submit.
 
Time is tight for this round – please email material to laakkuluk@qaggiavuut.ca by 5pm on May 15, 2012. All digital material (photographs, jpegs, pdfs) must be 300 dpi. Winner will be announced by 5pm May 11, 2012.[/blockquote]

      A license to publish in print and online; copyright remains with the artist/author.

         So you take a “license to publish in print and online” even when the photos are NOT the ones selected as the winner and gets no $150 prize? Why?
